| Teacher and choreographer,
Raeann started dancing at the age of three. Upon graduation from Keokuk
Senior high School and her mother's dance studio, Larye School of Dance,
she attended Texas Women's University in Denton Texas as a dance major. Since
graduation she has studied with such renowned teachers as Gus Giordano, Al
Gilbert, Henry Le Tang, Joe Tremaine, Roland Dupree, Jo Rowan, and Robert
Reed, to name a few. Besides choreographing many musicals and drill teams, sh has been a judge for Talent, Beauty, and Pom Pon competitions. Her choreography has won national awards. Mrs. Salter has owned studios in Missouri and Texas. Students from Raeann's have won opportunities to travel and perform in Florida, Tennessee, Minnesota, Arizona, and New Orleans, as well as Sydney and Caines Australia. Students have won national titles and have been in T.V. commercials and dance documentaries. Former students have fone on to pursue dance careers of their own and have became members of professional modern companies in St. Louis, Missouri as well as operating studio's of their own. In continuing the tradition of Larye School of Dance, Raeann opened and incorporated, Raeann School of Dance, Inc. in August 2001. With 35 years of teaching dance and operating a studio, the legacy of Larye's will continue. Raeann is the owner of "The Dance Shoppe" and Director of Arts in Motion Competition which is beginning their 8th year. |
